Safari Snorkel Install

Installing an ARB (Safari) Snorkel

First, remove the flares if any and the inner fender liner.  Here's ChrisCo doing exactly that on my rig.

Here, the snorkel is resting comfortably before going to work...

Piecing it all together...

Here's a couple shots of the stock intake location in the fender...

ARB provides a nifty template for marking the holes.  It's not pictured here, but you can see the markings.  The template aligns with the edge of the hood, the edge of the door and the radio antenna.

Center punching the drill points.

Drilling the holes for the mounting bolts.

Drilling the BIG hole for the intake.  We found that a 3 1/8 hole saw was just the perfect size.

Test fitting the snorkel.

Painting the edges of all of the holes.

ChrisCo drilling the mount holes in the A-pillar.

Inserting the plugs in the A-pillar.

The worst part of the job was tightening the mount bolts up in the fender.

The finished product.
