    Windows 7 upgrade...No Can Do....

    I have a 2006 HP Pavilion that I just ran the W7 upgrade adviser on. Probably not going to happen. 4 page report of too much stuff to do just to get it installed, let alone run smoothly. Just a bunch of compatibility issues, both soft & hard. Also some program upgrades to get. Guess I'll just stick with XP until I need a new machine.

    I'm betting you'd have a lot of the same issues with Vista... That's when the app compat issues first started showing up...

    You could use XP Mode on Windows 7. But IMO that still needs a lot of work. That won't fix any hardware issues though.

    I have 7 on my laptop, so far I like it a lot. I didn't do it, a friend did for me. I had to do a full system reboot.
